Distracted: Finding Faith-Focus Habits for a Frenzied World

In this modern world, it’s easy to live distracted. In fact, it’s difficult not to be sidetracked by the myriad of things clamoring for our attention. We feel pressured to have more, do more, and be more. And yet with all this doing and having, we still feel unfulfilled. In the quest to have it all, we wonder if we have missed something important. We sense that we have been spending too much time and effort on the trivial and not enough on what really matters.

In this course, Sharla shares important lessons she learned when her husband was diagnosed with lymphoma. This life crisis forced her to make a series of small changes and in the process, she discovered a life less frenzied and more focused.

You don’t have to wait for an emergency to learn how to defeat distraction. The Distracted eCourse teaches 16 Faith-Focus Habits. By embarking on this journey, you will learn both the spiritual habits and practical tactics Sharla used for finding focus. You don’t have to continue living a side-tracked life.

Distracted will teach you how to:

  • find focus by connecting to God
  • truly pay attention to what is essential
  • prioritize your day
  • find focus in your work
  • make important choices
  • defeat the distractions of technology
  • find rest in our hectic world
  • A 140-page book describing all sixteen faith-focus habits

  • Access to FOUR live video sessions with Sharla (plus access to recordings of the videos if you can’t join live or want to rewatch a video). The Zoom sessions will take place on four Saturdays at 11 am CT: September 7, October 19, November 23, and December 14, 2024.

  • Invitation to join a private online group where you can ask Sharla questions and interact with others searching for focus.

  • Buy the book Distracted on Amazon. (The Kindle version is only $3.99!)

  • Become a paid subscriber to my newsletter by September 7, 2024. (This is the easiest way for me to distribute and fund the course.) You can become a monthly subscriber for $7 a month or a yearly subscriber for $75 a year. Subscribe by entering your email address below.

If you become a monthly subscriber for the four months of the course, the cost will be $28. You can cancel your paid subscription after the last video session on December 14.

After the Distracted course is finished, I will continue to do monthly Zoom workshops for paid subscribers. So if you want access to those workshops for a whole year, you might consider the $75 yearly subscription.

What Others Are Saying About the Course:

Are you racing through life exhausted, trying to control a chaotic life, struggling with the entrapment of perfectionism, or clutching ambition so tightly that you have very little peace or joy? Sharla Fritz’s e-course, Distracted: Finding Faith-Focused Habits for a Frenzied World, offers practical and essential tips to replace frenzy and anxiety with meaningful, life-affirming priorities that have eternal impact. Learn how to eliminate distractions, prioritize essentials, organize routines, and find time to enjoy God and His people. If you are in need of rest and peace, this e-course is a must read. (Julie Kloster, author of Leaping the Wall: Practical Ways to Empower Faith in Difficult Times)

The Distracted course offered practical suggestions to help me become more God-focused. I am still trying to incorporate in my weeks two of the Faith-Focus Habits: Periodically Unplug from Technology and Focus on Others. (Natine A.)

Our world certainly has a lot of distracting noises, voices and activities. And, let’s be honest, our own sinful selves contribute to the distractions and frenzied pace we live! While there are an abundance of self-help and efficiency blogs, facebook pages, books and YouTube videos our there, Distracted offers something different and, at least for me, far more meaningful. The Distracted study is certainly practical and offers specific habits to embrace. But the life-changing part of the study is the reason for being more focused – to lose the distractions and make room for Jesus and serving my neighbor. All of that served up with an extra scoop of grace! (Margaret B.)

Yes, we learn from your studies and writing Sharla. I need the spiritual revival that comes from spending quiet time alone with Jesus in prayermeditation on Holy Scripture application to my life. (Mary M.)
